The Non-Surgical Facelift Alternative
The Instalift facelift is a newer non-surgical alternative to a facelift that has patients in and out the door with improved appearances. Referred to as the lunchtime facelift,
the procedure offers subtle and natural results.
What is lnstalift?
The Instalift procedure involves the placement of a specific absorbable suture material that incorporates cone technology to grip the skin within the subcutaneous
(superficial fatty layer) thereby creating anchor points in order to lift and tighten a specific area of skin. The procedure itself involves the use of small amounts of injectable anesthesia, the use of a needle to make small holes (self healing) in the skin and the placement of the Instalift sutures in the subcutaneous (superficial fatty layer) level of the skin. The skin is then guided over the suture material to attain a lifting effect. The suture material is not permanent and will be absorbed by the body over a period of time.
Is the Instalift safe?
When performed by a certified physician with experience such as Dr. Ablon, the Instalift procedure is very safe. Other than skin pricks with small needles, there is no cutting involved. Side effects are rare and minimal.
What areas can be treated by Instalift?
In properly selected patients, droopiness of the brows, cheeks, jowls and neck can all be lifted and improved with the Instalift procedure. You may elect to do your Instalift on a single zone or multiple zones.
What is the lnstalift recovery like?
Post operatively you will be instructed to sleep face up, elevated on pillows (3-5 nights). You will be able to apply make-up gently after 24 hours. Avoid face down or facial massages and facial aesthetic treatments (4 weeks). Avoid sports, in particular high impact sports e.g. running (2 weeks).
How long will my Instalift last?
Most Instalift results will be pleasing and noticeable for 2-3 years, but because the absorbable suture dissolves, some degree of results are permanent.
