Rejuvenate Your Skin
ForĀ A Smooth & Fresh Look
Each day, thousands of skin cells on our face die, fall off and are replaced by new cells from beneath the outer layer of skin. As we age, this process begins to slow down. Dark blotches and other signs of aging and sun damage begin to appear. Our skin may become dull and begin to form wrinkles. The answer to this natural process to rejuvenate your skin and return to a softer, smoother, fresher look are the peeling agents described below.
Ablon Skin: Melasma Master Peel and Skin Lightening System
The Ablon Skin: Melasma Master Peel and Skin Lightening System is designed to improve the texture and appearance of melasma or hyperpigmented skin. ItĀ involves a medicated masque and an at-home regimen. There is no pain and little-to-no irritation during the application of the mask, and typically, the irritation level on the following days is more like a sunburn.
The Master Peel masque is applied during an office visit and patients leave the office with the masque on their face. The Master Peel masque is then removed at home by the patient after a required length of time, depending on skin type. Patients are responsible for adhering to an easy-to-follow, but strict, at-home regimen involving the application of several Master Peel products following the masque removal.
Results may vary but generally our patients see a dramatic improvement in the appearance of skin texture, color, tightening and reduction of pore size. Although most patients experience peeling of their skin, not every patient will notice this. If you do not notice actual peeling, know that you are still receiving all the benefits of the Master Peel. The dramatic benefits are stimulation of collagen production, improvement of skin tone and texture, and diminishment of fine lines, pores and pigmentation. Proper skin evaluation by Dr. Ablon prior to your peel will help predict the outcome of your peel.
B-Liftx Peel
B-Liftx is a major scientific advance. B-Liftx is a unique formulation containing salicylic acid with patented MICROSPONGE technology. Unlike traditional chemical peels, B-Liftx delivers outstanding results without risking injury to the skin. This is accomplished by “lifting” the dry, dead cells off the surface of the skin and stimulating the process of skin renewal. Salicyclic acid occurs naturally in the bark of the willow tree. It is also known as beta hydroxyacid. It has been discovered that carefully formulated preparations with high concentrations of salicylic acid will gently exfoliate the dead cells on the surface of the skin to reveal fresh skin underneath. Salicylic acid then stimulates the skin’s natural processes to promote regeneration and renewal of the skin, promoting a more youthful appearance.
The B-Liftx peel is done in the office and the entire treatment is about 30 minutes. The B-Liftx peel can be done as often as every seven days. There is little to no redness after the peel and most patients leave with a “glowing” look to their skin.
Glycolic Peel
The Glycolic Peel is a safe and painless exfoliation process that removes a micro-thin top layer of skin. This form of skin rejuvenation uses glycolic acid to remove damaged cells on the top layer of skin. Removal of damaged cells stimulates cell division that results in plumper, healthier young cells. The Glycolic Peel procedure smoothes and softens the skin, diminishes fine lines, decreases acne outbreaks, evens out coloration and lightens hyperpigmented areas. Mild Glycolic Acid-based peels take about 20 minutes. Most people notice a change in the skin right away. For optimal effect it is recommended that Glycolic Peels are performed weekly for six weeks.
Microdermabrasion
The microdermabrasion procedure works on the epidermis and removes a portion of the top layer of skin using a combination of controlled suction concomitantly with air abrasion using diamond fraise tip. Microdermabrasion has been shown to be useful in reducing fine lines, improving skin color and texture and removing superficial pigmented areas. It is important to note that for visible improvement, multiple treatments are usually required.
