NOUVADerm is a 4th generation 1927nm thulium laser resurfacing device that allows for quick and seamless laser resurfacing treatments on any skin type across the entire body. How does NOUVADerm work?
NOUVADerm uses a fractional laser to deliver controlled energy beneath the skin’s surface, creating microscopic treatment zones. These tiny, precise injuries activate your skin’s natural repair process—boosting collagen and elastin production, which are essential for maintaining smooth, firm, and youthful-looking skin.
This gentle yet effective treatment helps refine skin texture and tone, improve elasticity, and reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and sun-related pigmentation. NOUVADerm also provides noticeable skin tightening—often matching or exceeding results from other energy-based treatments—all with minimal downtime.
What Areas Can be Treated with NOUVADerm?
The NOUVADerm laser can be used to remedy a number of sin concerns including:

What to Expect
Prior to your treatment, I will share the possible risks and reactions to this treatment and you will receive full pre and post treatment instructions.
- Immediately following the procedure, the treated area may be red or slightly swollen for a few hours to a few days, but these symptoms are mild and temporary.
- Crusts may develop on day 2 or 3 but will fall off or diminish by day 3-5*.(Varies depending on the parameters used and your physical condition).
- The skin may also feel very dry/flaky during the recovery period, it is important to follow your post care instructions and keep your skin moisturized and protected from UV exposure by applying sunscreen frequently.
- The treated area should be cared for delicately. Limited activities may be advised, such as, no hot tub, steam, sauna or swimming for approx. 2 weeks. Discomfort, especially a sunburn feeling, may persist for a few days.
